About Us
In the Beginning
Bill & Tony Gowers established A & W Gowers as a Partnership in 1993 from Warners Farm, Howe Street. Drawing from 50 years of experience in the Joinery trade they began with three Joiners, making bespoke joinery items for Domestic and Trade customers.
The MID 90's
Business contacts and customers grew and so did the workshop at Warners Farm. More comfortable amenities were added early on. Then in 1997, the workshop was extended providing a better machine area and a more organised bench fitting area.
Early 00's
Yet more space was added in 2000, including more bench space and a new office. Not only were the facilities restructured but also the partnership itself. A & W Gowers took another step forward and on 5th May 2000 became A & W Gowers Limited.
THE 2010's
In 2012, we looked to the future and invested in new briquetting equipment to boost our environmental credentials and reduce our waste output.
Into the Future
After 20 years of running a successful business, Bill and Tony officially retired. Handing over directorship to Bill’s son Ian Gowers and Tony’s daughter Joanne Ostridge.
